1897	The first ten-bell peal in Ireland was 5000 Kent Treble Bob Royal on the newly installed ring at St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin. James Washbrook called it, and there were subsequent allegations that the composition was not true.	nv
1964	The first peal of Major on tower bells by only four ringers was rung at Balcombe, Sussex, with a tenor of 9 cwt. Tom Chapman rang the two trebles, Frank C Price rang 3-4, Frank T Blagrove rang 5-6 and Tony Price the two tenors.	nv
